Ezekiel Elliott shared an old school photo to wish Dak Prescott a happy 27th birthday
There are few duos in the NFL more electric than Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. The two Dallas Cowboys stars are in the prime of their careers and are hoping to help America’s Team win their first Super Bowl in more than 20 years.
As good as the two are on the gridiron, they’re incredibly close off of it. Both Prescott and Elliott are known for being great friends, and before the pandemic, they were often seen out in public together.
So, with Prescott celebrating his 27th birthday on Wednesday, Elliott decided to send him a special message on Instagram. The photo he used will be sure to bring a smile to Cowboys fans everywhere.
That’s a throwback photo if we’ve ever seen one. This appears to be during both players’ rookie campaigns back in 2016. Both look baby-faced and much younger than they do today. The two studs have been playmakers for Dallas since their first opportunities to hit the field for Jerry Jones’ team.
The Cowboys are coming off a major disappointment in 2019, though, as they failed to make the postseason and watched the Eagles take home the NFC East crown. Jason Garrett has since been fired and former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is now in Dallas ready to lead the team.
Prescott himself is set to play this year on the franchise tag. He wants a big contract extension from the team. Having another monster season in 2020 will only help his chances of cashing in with a huge deal.
With the 2020 season right around the corner, Dallas will look to silence its haters across the country and get back to the postseason. It goes without saying, but Prescott and Elliott will be major figures in trying to get that job done.
